Riesling Grand Cru Kanzlerberg 2016 - Gustave Lorentz
Service: 10 to 12°C
Custody: 15 to 20 years
Sweetness: Dry
Yellow colour with golden reflections, fine and subtle nose with aromas of citrus zest, beautiful minerality coming from its native Kanzlerberg terroir, powerful and virile on the palate, it is a great gastronomic wine.
Terroir : The 3.23 hectares of this Kanzlerberg vineyard are geologically made up of a characteristic clay-limestone soil, but with particular components rarely observed in the whole of the Alsatian vineyard: grey and black marls with gypsum and Muschelkalk which make it a very heavy soil.
The rather steep slopes of the Kanzlerberg, turning south and south-west, weaken in the upper part, forming a small plateau with an average altitude of 250 metres, at the bottom of which the Bergenbach stream flows.
All large fish dishes (grilled or in sauce), white meat in sauce.
