Review by Bruce Sanderson
Release date: April 30, 2018
This still red wine is taut and pure, with aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, cherry, violet, minerals, and spice. It is balanced and precise, remaining fresh and vibrant through its long finish. Recommended for drinking between 2021 and 2035.
Produced from a vineyard adjacent to the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares, this Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes from Maison Louis Jadot combines finesse and structure. The wine seduces with its elegant aromas of ripe red fruits, violets, and light oaky notes. On the palate, it offers beautiful concentration, silky tannins, and a long, harmonious finish. A 1er Cru full of character, both delicate and distinguished.
