Monthélie Champs Fuillot 1er cru 2022 - Louis jadot
Great Bourgogne estate
Terroir and Origin
The Meursault 1er Cru Champs Fulliot – Louis Jadot comes from an emblematic vineyard located in the commune of Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune. The deep, clay-limestone soils, combined with ideal sun exposure, promote even ripening of the grapes and allow the Chardonnay to express its full finesse and minerality. This terroir gives the wines elegance, balance, and aging potential.
The grapes are harvested by hand and then gently pressed to preserve aromatic purity. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, followed by aging on fine lees for 15 to 18 months. This approach gives the wine complexity, roundness, and structure while respecting the pure expression of the terroir.
Style and Tasting Notes
The Meursault Champs Fulliot 1er Cru is distinguished by a delicate nose blending citrus, white-fleshed fruit, and floral aromas, with toasty and slightly buttery nuances. On the palate, it is full and silky, supported by precise acidity and delicate minerality. The long, elegant finish makes it an ideal wine to accompany fine fish, shellfish, or refined poultry.
