Since 1907, the Maison Bouchard Père & Fils has offered each year the cuvée Beaune du Château, exclusive to the House. The result of the blending of several parcels of Premier Cru, it allows to gather in a single wine the different facets of of the Beaune terroir. The Beaune du Château white comes from 5 parcels of Beaune Premier Cru, selected for their complementary qualities: Aigrots, Sizies, Sur les Grèves, Teurons and Tuvilains. Before being blended, the grapes from each each climate are vinified separately, in order to preserve the typicity of the of the different terroirs.

WINE AND FOOD Pairings : Cold cuts, pies, hot pies, snails.
SERVICE : Between 12°C and 14°C
AGEING : 5 years and more
HARVESTING : By hand, in small boxes of 13 kg. Careful manual sorting of each bunch.
VINIFICATION : The pressing is done in two phases : first the first juices are evacuated, then the pressing is done in two-hour cycles.
AGEING : 9 to 10 months in French oak barrels, with up to 15% new barrels depending on the vintage, then 3 to 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
AGEING : The cellars of the Bastions of the old Château de Beaune offer natural conditions perfectly adapted to the ageing of the Premiers Crus.
EXPOSURE : East / South-East
SOIL OF THE APPELLATION : Clay and limestone with a high percentage of clay.
