The Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains 2018 (Maison Louis Jadot) reveals an expressive bouquet of plums, cherries, raw cocoa, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and fleshy, with a beautiful body. Its structure is based on well-presented powdery tannins and juicy acidity that brings freshness and balance. This is a powerful wine with a beautiful structure that will benefit from a few years of ageing to reveal its full complexity.

CHARACTERISTICS
Above Grand Saint Georges is a very marked climate. The soils of the Premiers Crus are mainly composed of limestone and marl, and their perfect exposure to the East allows the production of superb wines.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then carefully sorted by hand and destemmed. Maceration of the grapes takes place in open wooden or stainless steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks. The vats are pumped over twice a day during fermentation. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in barrels from our cooperage, about one third of which are new.
