Un Sang Blanc 2025 Vacqueyras - Le Sang des Cailloux
Le Sang des Cailloux Blanc - Organic Wine – Organic Farming
Un Sang Blanc (Vacqueyras – Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux)
Regarded as one of the finest white wines from the Southern Rhône Valley, *Un Sang Blanc* is a rare and iconic cuvée from the Vacqueyras appellation. Produced using organic and biodynamic viticulture on the red clay and rounded pebble *terroir* of the Garrigues plateau, this blend incorporates several traditional grape varieties (Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, and Viognier). On the palate, the wine captivates with a masterful balance between opulence and tension. It displays a golden hue and an enchanting bouquet of candied citrus, white blossoms, and vine peaches, accented by hints of fresh almond and subtle, refined notes derived from its aging process. The palate is ample, smooth, and textured, yet retains a remarkable mineral freshness and salinity that extend the finish. This is a superb gastronomic white wine, pairing beautifully with fish served in sauce, poultry with morel mushrooms, or aged cheeses.
The 2025 Vintage
The 2025 vintage particularly highlights the freshness and aromatic precision of *Un Sang Blanc*. The balance of this vintage yields a wine defined by vibrant mineral tension, where fresh white-fleshed fruit and floral notes are expressed with remarkable purity. The texture on the palate remains beautifully enveloping—never heavy—and is supported by a lively acidity that promises excellent aging potential (7 to 10 years). While accessible in its youth—especially after a brief decanting—the wine will gain further complexity and develop honeyed nuances after a few years in the cellar.
