- Tissot's Arbois Vin de Paille is a blend of Chardonnay, Poulsard and Savagnin with a strong perfume of overripe musky melon and white grapes.
- Ethereal esters and scents of exotic honey and herbs reinforce the anticipation of sweetness which, when it arrives on the palate, is complemented by a seductive, creamy texture, but counterbalanced by refreshing acids and displaying an uncanny sense of lift and delicacy that is too often missing from this kind of wine with its obligatory minimum of 14% alcohol (a level just achieved in this case).
- This polished, haunting and persistent elixir, among the best of its kind, should continue to "throw down" for many decades.
