Located at the foot of a south-facing slope, this plot rests on a clay-limestone-sand-loam soil, interspersed with chalk gravel over a Campanian subsoil. It is planted with 12,000 Chardonnay vines on 1.3 hectares, planted in 1962 and trained using the Chablis pruning method.
The 2015 vintage began with a generally mild and rainy winter and spring, followed by a period marked by drought and intense heat until mid-August. The end of the season alternated between cool, damp conditions and periods of dry heat, allowing the grapes to reach excellent ripeness.
The perfectly ripe and healthy grapes were harvested on September 21, 2015, with a potential alcohol content of 11.5% and an acidity of 5.7 g/l.
Production: 10,772 bottles and 402 magnums.
Dosage: 1 g/l.
Disgorging: February 2025.
THE DOMAINE SPEAKS TO YOU:
Tasting Notes: On the nose, aromas of pear, almonds, freshly baked bread, and mandarin are present. Smooth and elegant, it boasts a precise mousse, a subtle depth at its core, and a long, chalky finish. Beautifully balanced with minimal dosage, it showcases the results that the Jacquesson brothers' winemaking was already producing more than a decade ago.
The Terroir: South-facing slope at the bottom; clay-limestone-sand-loam soil with chalk gravel over Campanian limestone; 12,000 Chardonnay vines planted on 1.3 hectares in 1962; Chablis pruning.
