Tasting by Joe Czerwinski in 2022: “One of the best Chapoutier Côte Rôties I have ever encountered, the 2019 Côte Rotie la Mordorée offers complex notes of violets, mixed berries and delicate nuances of dried herbs on the nose. It's quite floral, but there's a concentrated, full-bodied core of fruit that's not dense or muscular, but silky and lush. Blended from one parcel of La Côte Blonde and another of La Côte Brown, it is simply a pleasure to drink, with a long, tannic and silky finish. It should easily age well for up to two decades."
