"Aromas of cassis and redcurrant emerge from the nose of the 2017 Hermitage Monier de la Sizeranne, a blend of grapes from across the Hermitage hillside (though sourced exclusively from Chapoutier’s own vineyards). The wine is full-bodied and concentrated, displaying a density not always found in this cuvée. Tannic and possessing a lovely, chewy texture while remaining mouth-watering on the long finish, it should drink well for several decades." — Joe Czerwinski
