Ermitage Le Pavillon 2008 - Chapoutier
Chapoutier Estate
93/100 Robert Parker
Celar : 2011 - 2036
The 2008 Ermitage Le Pavillon appears to be the most concentrated wine of the vintage: still reserved but already elegant, it displays aromas of blueberry and blackberry, accompanied by hints of camphor, black truffle, and earth. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with moderate tannins and a structure capable of ensuring long aging potential of around 20 to 25 years, or even more, which is atypical for this vintage.
Made from old Syrah vines and characterized by a style that is powerful, velvety, and balanced, this wine has a long finish with hints of licorice, tobacco, and cocoa, confirming its potential to evolve over several decades.
