Pur Oger 2019
Born from a blend of two exceptional plots (Les Rumigny and Les Noyerots), the 2019 vintage offers a highly expressive interpretation of the Oger terroir. At once generous and bracing, this cuvée reveals a creamy palate that envelops lovely fruity notes.
Dosage: 3.3 g/L
Aging & Precision: Aged for 5 years under cork (cork-aged).
Disgorgement: Autumn 2025.
Cellaring potential: 2026 - 2040
On tasting, Pur Oger offers a pale yellow color with golden highlights and an elegant, persistent mousse. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers, ripe lemon, and green apple, to which toasty and slightly licorice notes emerge with aeration. On the palate, the attack is supple and smooth, quickly giving way to a taut, mineral structure: flavors of candied lemon, white peach, and pear are combined with a silky texture and a deep, saline finish, a signature of the Oger terroir. The alcohol content is around 12.5%. This champagne is equally suited to an exceptional aperitif or a delicate gastronomic dish, such as fine shellfish, fish in a light sauce, or even fine poultry. Its aging potential is remarkable: between 10 and 15 years, or even longer under optimal conditions.
