"A pale rosé champagne with delicate notes of cherry pit and grapefruit. There's also a hint of salted almond. Medium-bodied, it has fine bubbles and a delicious, saline, and slightly honeyed finish. Enjoy now." Claire Nesbitt
The Franck Bonville Grand Cru Brut Rosé Champagne is made primarily from Chardonnay (90%) from the Grand Cru vineyards of Avize, complemented by 10% Pinot Noir vinified as red wine from the Grand Cru vineyards of Ambonnay. This unique blend of two prestigious terroirs combines the freshness and minerality characteristic of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs with the delicate, fruity elegance of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. The dosage is moderate (approximately 6.7 g/L), and the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its purity and finesse.
On the nose, this rosé champagne seduces with its pronounced aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, cherries), followed by pastry and brioche notes typical of Chardonnay, which add depth. On the palate, it offers a round and silky attack, well-balanced by a beautiful minerality and discreet acidity. The bubbles are fine, the texture ample yet elegant, and the finish lingers with a saline and persistent note. This is a wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, or paired with fruity or indulgent dishes such as a red fruit salad or fish in a light sauce.
