When to drink this wine : 2025 - 2045
Tasted by JS on 19 July 2022: "Very deep nose of wild berries and violets. Then comes the very concentrated and surprisingly velvety palate. Super fine tannins and healthy acidity give this wine an extremely elegant profile, all flowing effortlessly into nirvana. Drink it or keep it."
The vineyard
The first written mention of the vineyard was in the records of the Chapter of Saulieu in 1375. This vineyard has a long history with the Latour family since it was already, at the beginning of the 19th century, the property of Anne Michelin, the great-great grandmother of Louis-Fabrice Latour's father. Since then it has been inherited by successive generations of Latour. On the hillside of Corton, this vineyard is perfectly exposed to the south at the base of the hillside, on an outcrop of bedrock. It is on this marl-rich soil with a very red colour that the wines are enriched with their distinct aromas. This wine has the elegance that one expects from a Grand Cru of the Côte d'Or.
