Corton Grand Cru 2015 Clos du Roi - Louis Latour
A Grand Cru since 1937, Corton was already famous in the 15th century, when the King of France used to bring the wines of this Corton to his own cellars. Belonging to the Dukes of Burgundy, at the death of Charles le Téméraire, last Duke of Burgundy, in 1477, this parcel passed into the royal estate and became the Corton "Clos du Roi". Perfectly exposed due east on the hill of Corton, the vines are maintained in a traditional way by the winegrowers of the Domaine Louis LATOUR. Severe pruning allows later harvests and thus ensures a good level of maturity and richness of the grapes. This wine has an excellent ageing capacity.
