Order legendary wines : Château d'Yquem 2001 in Magnum
Sauternes 1er Grand Cru Classé
100/100 Parker
Cellaring potential: 2019 - 2100
By Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2019: "I have been fortunate enough to taste the 2001 d'Yquem a dozen times since its release and have never been less than absolutely overwhelmed by its combination of balance, purity, precision and layers of complex, breathtaking aromatic nuance. It is one of a very small group of incredible wines that break the 100-point barrier and soar beyond the stratosphere! A testament to the magic that can be created when an exceptional Sauternes vintage brings out the best in an extraordinary vineyard and is crafted with skill and sensitivity, the 2001 is a true rarity that must be tried to be believed."
