Attractive aromas of blueberries and blackberries, with notes of graphite, black licorice, and crushed rock. Dark chocolate as well. Full-bodied. The tannic structure is impressive: delicate and bright on the palate, it develops and gains strength throughout the palate. Deep and dense, it presents a velvety core of black fruits. Very long, taut, and persistent. 77% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink after 2026.

The box and the cuvée:

The Château Fleur Cardinale 2020 Intergalactic Edition is a collector's cuvée specially created for the 2020 vintage, as part of the estate's limited edition series. Presented in a magnum (1.5 L) in a silkscreened wooden box with phosphorescent elements, it bears a unique label where the knight in the coat of arms transforms into an astronaut, accompanied by space-related motifs (rocket, planets, constellations, zodiac sign) in tribute to the Decoster family's 20th anniversary at Fleur Cardinale.

The wine is blended with 77% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. After manual harvests, the wine is vinified in the estate's new cellars, with cold pre-fermentation maceration, then aged for 12 to 14 months in new barrels on lees, while some of the older Merlot and Cabernet Franc are aged in amphorae. On the palate, this edition is characterized by remarkable freshness, juicy and complex black fruit, tannins that are both powerful and elegant, and good aging potential (estimated until 2045 for some).
