- Chardonnay
- Serving temperature: 12 to 14°C
- Aging potential: 5 to 15 years depending on the vintage
Geographical location
Located at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, Marsannay is the gateway to the Burgundy vineyards from Dijon. Having become a communal appellation in 1987, it stands out as the only one in Burgundy to produce red, rosé, and white wines.
Terroir characteristics
The vines extend between 260 and 320 meters above sea level, on moderate slopes facing east and south. The soils, composed of limestone, marl, clay, pebbles, and gravel, provide excellent natural drainage. This terroir produces precise, elegant, and well-structured whites.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates to preserve their freshness. They are then gently pressed and fermented in oak barrels, about a third of which are new and from the House's cooperage. Aging, on fine lees, lasts about 15 months before bottling.
