Burghese Rouge from Domaine Sant’Armettu is a highly ambitious cuvée produced from carefully selected vineyard plots on the granite slopes of Tizzano. This complex blend of Sciaccarellu, Minustellu, Elegante, and Carcaghjolu Neru represents a deep and noble expression of Corsican red wines. The grapes are fully destemmed and meticulously sorted both in the vineyard and winery before undergoing fermentation in large oak vats. The wine is then aged for 30 months in demi-muids followed by 6 months in bottle, resulting in a structured, age-worthy wine of remarkable depth.

The wine shows a deep garnet-red color with slightly brick-hued reflections, already hinting at its evolution. The nose is refined and complex, combining ripe red fruit aromas with noble spices and more evolved notes of camphor and clove. With aeration, the aromatic profile becomes even more layered and expressive.

On the palate, Burghese Rouge is powerful yet silky, with impressive structure and amplitude. It balances pure fruit expression with aromatic intensity and finely grained tannins. The finish is extremely long, supported by spice, minerality, and an elegant backbone that defines great cellar-worthy wines.

How should it be served? Serve between 16 and 18°C after decanting for at least one hour to fully раскры its complexity. It pairs beautifully with fine red meats, game, slow-cooked dishes, and gourmet cuisine with rich sauces.
