Sant’Armettu is one of the most emblematic wine estates in Corsica, located in the south-west of the island between Propriano and Olmeto. The vineyards overlook the Gulf of Propriano and the bay of Tizzano, in a breathtaking setting combining Mediterranean sea views, wild maquis vegetation, and granite hills. This unique environment shapes wines with a strong identity, marked by freshness, intensity, and a true sense of place.
Founded in the 1960s by the Seroin family, the estate is now run by the next generation, who continue a precise and demanding approach both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Their philosophy focuses on respecting nature and highlighting Corsica’s indigenous grape varieties, which are among the island’s greatest viticultural treasures. This approach results in authentic, expressive wines deeply rooted in their origin.
The estate works with a wide range of native grapes such as Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, Vermentinu, Minustellu, and Biancu Gentile. This diversity allows the production of a broad stylistic range, from fresh and floral whites to structured and spicy reds, as well as generous and saline rosés. Each cuvée reflects a different expression of Corsica’s landscape and character.
On the palate, Sant’Armettu wines are defined by balance, freshness, and aromatic precision. Granite soils bring tension and verticality, while clay-rich plots add roundness and depth. The result is a range of vibrant, elegant wines that remain firmly rooted in their terroir.
White and rosé wines are best enjoyed between 8 and 12°C, while reds are ideal at 15 to 17°C after slight aeration. They pair beautifully with seafood, Mediterranean cuisine, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
What can you feel during tasting? Sant’Armettu wines deliver an immediate impression of freshness and authenticity. They show bright fruit aromas, herbal Mediterranean notes, and a distinctive saline character typical of Corsican terroirs. The finish is often long, elegant, and lightly spicy, leaving a pure and vibrant impression.
