Tasted by Jeb Dunnuck on December 30, 2016 : "The utterly perfect 2012 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is the star of three unique vineyards in 2012. Possessing off-the-charts sex appeal in its layered, concentrated, full-bodied style, it exhibits rich fruit, ripe tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and pedal-to-the-metal notes of black fruits, scorched earth, caramelized meats, and crushed rocks. While this wine normally needs a decade to become drinkable, there is a sweetness of fruit here that allows it to offer incredible pleasure even today. Nevertheless, give the bottles 5-6 years and enjoy it for the next three decades."
