Meursault Perrières 1er cru 2023 - Louis jadot
Great Bourgogne estate
92-94/100 Parker
Terroir and Origin
The Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières – Louis Jadot comes from one of the most prestigious vineyard sites in the Meursault appellation, located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. This exceptional terroir rests on very stony, limestone soils, which give rise to Chardonnays of great purity and remarkable minerality. Wines from Les Perrières are often considered the finest and most elegant of Meursault.
Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are harvested by hand and then gently pressed to preserve the quality of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, followed by aging on fine lees for approximately 15 to 18 months. This method brings complexity, depth, and texture to the wine, while respecting the balance and freshness characteristic of the terroir.
Style and Tasting Notes
This Meursault 1er Cru is distinguished by a refined bouquet blending citrus, white-fleshed fruit, and flowers, complemented by notes of hazelnut, fresh butter, and subtle toasty touches. On the palate, it is ample and precise, supported by a beautiful mineral tension and a long, elegant finish. This is a great gastronomic white wine, ideal with fine fish, shellfish, or poultry in a cream sauce.
