Saint Véran 2024 - Louis jadot
Terroir and Origin
Louis Jadot's Saint-Véran comes from the Saint-Véran appellation, located in southern Burgundy, in the southern part of the Côte Chalonnaise. The vines are planted in rich, well-drained clay-limestone soils, which promote the development of Chardonnay. This terroir gives the wine balance, finesse, and freshness, with a beautiful fruity expression.
Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are harvested by hand and then gently pressed to preserve all their aromatic purity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and/or partially in oak barrels, depending on the batch, followed by aging on fine lees. This method brings roundness and complexity while preserving the freshness and natural balance of the Chardonnay.
Style and Tasting Notes
Louis Jadot's Saint-Véran is appealing with a fruity and floral nose, blending apple, pear, and white flowers, with light toasty notes. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, supported by lively acidity and subtle minerality. The finish is long and elegant, making this wine a perfect companion for fish, shellfish, poultry, or soft cheeses.
