Burghese Blanc 2021 - Sant Armettu
Corsican Wine from the Estate - Gilles Seroin
Bughese Blanc from Domaine Sant’Armettu comes from a carefully selected vineyard plot on the granite hillsides of Tizzano, a terroir shaped by Mediterranean influences and wild Corsican landscapes. This refined blend of Vermentinu, Genovese, and Biancu Ghjentile represents a more ambitious and structured expression of the estate’s white wines. The winemaking process is meticulous, with hand and cellar sorting followed by fermentation in large oak vats. The wine is then aged for 24 months in demi-muids on full lees, giving it remarkable depth, texture, and ageing potential.
The wine displays a deep golden yellow color. The nose reveals delicate floral aromas that become more expressive with aeration. On the palate, it shows impressive balance between richness and tension, with a generous and well-structured mouthfeel. The floral notes evolve into greater complexity, supported by refined minerality and noble bitterness that extend the finish with length and elegance.
